Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our wild-harvested delicacies from the heart of the Balkans.
Origin & Botanical Integrity
Where do your mushrooms come from?
All our mushrooms are 100% wild-harvested by hand in the Pirin National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Bulgaria. This high-altitude region is renowned for its pristine environment and rich biodiversity, ensuring that our products carry the most authentic and intense forest aromas.
Are there any additives or preservatives?
No. We believe in absolute botanical integrity. Our mushrooms undergo only a professional dehydration process to remove moisture while concentrating flavor. There are no added salts, chemicals, or preservatives.

Preparation & Storage
How do I properly rehydrate dried mushrooms?
Place the dried mushrooms in a bowl of lukewarm water for about 20–30 minutes. Once they have regained their shape, drain them gently. For a detailed step-by-step guide, please visit our dedicated guide on how to properly prepare dried wild mushrooms.
Pro Tip: Do not discard the soaking liquid! Strain it through a fine sieve and use it as a powerful, aromatic broth for your sauces, soups, or risotto.
What is the equivalent of dried to fresh mushrooms?
The ratio is approximately 1:10. This means that 10 grams of our dried mushrooms are equivalent to about 100 grams of fresh forest mushrooms. A small amount goes a long way in terms of flavor.
How should I store them?
Store your dried mushrooms in a cool, dark, and dry place. We recommend keeping them in an airtight glass jar or their original packaging. When stored correctly, they maintain their premium quality for up to 24 months.
